  • Participants of the swimming program are grouped into different levels depending on their age, swimming skills, body build, and athletic fitness. According to pedagogical and age psychology studies, there are three age groups in childhood: 5 to 7 years of age, 7 to 10, and 11 to 14. Age group is one of the major determinant factors in the development of a child, which is characterized by the physical individuality, athletic fitness, motor skills, psychological peculiarities and individuality.
  • Learning of the swimming techniques and practice are the two integral parts of the swimming practice. The both, learning and practice, are aimed at teaching the participants to different swimming techniques, bringing these techniques to professional levels, increasing physical capabilities of the swimmers. Introductory swimming practice is the first stage of the process of training and upbringing of the athletes. At this stage, learning to swim and introduction to the swimming styles along with the development of physical endurance, body coordination, flexibility, and speed are the main goal of swimming practice. Our swimming practice is based on the main principles of the physical education process: teaching, comprehensive development, recreational focus, systematic principle.

Niki swim school  Teaching:

The teaching process is aimed at achieving of the following major goals:
  • Health promotion
  • Learning swimming techniques and styles
  • Comprehensive physical development, motor skills promotion, development of body coordination, fitness, flexibility, endurance, adroitness, speed

Niki swim school  Comprehensive development:

  • Every sport activity complies with the unique principle of the comprehensive development.
  • This implies that swimming practice promote health; improve physical capabilities and characteristics of the athletes.

Niki swim school  Recreational focus:

  • Promotion of health is the major goal of the systematic swimming learning and practice

Niki swim school  Systematic principle:

  • Swimming lessons should be regular and at balanced time intervals in order to alternate physical challenge to the body with rest. Regular training sessions decrease the time and increase the quality in learning to swim, as well as improve physical capabilities and fitness of the participants. While learning to swim, exercises and strokes are to be repeated numerous times, which lead to improvement of the swimming techniques, physical fitness, and improved functional capabilities? Systematic swimming challenges the cardio-vascular, respiratory, and muscular and nervous systems of the body. As a result, it promotes better physical development, healthier body, improved functional characteristics in the participants.
