BEGINNER: AGE 6 – 8
The program is designed for very young swimmers who are interested in competitive swimming but may not be sure if it is really for them. This is teaching level where the main objective is to help perfect the fundamentals. The program offers an opportunity for the swimmers to improve their strokes and be exposed to the type of training that would take place in competitive swimming.
Swimming practice should be regular and at balanced time intervals in order to alternate physical challenge to the body with rest. Regular training sessions decrease the time and increase the quality in learning to swim, as well as improve physical capabilities and fitness of the participants. While learning to swim, exercises and strokes are to be repeated numerous times, which lead to improvement of the swimming techniques, physical fitness, and improved functional capabilities. Systematic swimming challenges the cardio-vascular, respiratory, and muscular and nervous systems of the body. As a result, it promotes better physical development, healthier body, improved functional characteristics in the participants.
